Pilgaek Operation Policy
This English text is a translation provided for convenience. The Korean version (「필객 운영정책」) prevails if the two differ.
Under the Pilgaek Terms of Service, this Operation Policy sets out the rules for in-game chat, character names and the official homepage board, and the standards for reports and sanctions. Please follow it so that everyone can enjoy the game.
1. Chat Channels
| Channel | Who receives it |
|---|---|
| World (전체) | Everyone connected to the server |
| General (일반) | Players in the same hunting ground or town |
| Party (파티) | Players in the same party (up to 4) |
| Whisper (귓속말) | One player you choose by character name |
- Chat is only relayed to recipients in real time and is not stored on the server. Only reported messages are kept in the report record.
- In World, General and Party chat and whispers, you can send up to 100 characters at a time, and messages sent too quickly are not delivered (for example, chat allows one message per 1.2 seconds and up to 15 per minute). Some profanity is automatically masked with
*. - The name shown in World and General chat and whispers is the character name verified by the server, so nobody can fake it.
- Your whispers are not delivered to a player who has blocked you.
2. Official Homepage Board
- The board is a place to talk about Pilgaek. In addition to the prohibited content in Section 4, we remove advertising and promotion, repeated posts, posting other people's writing or art without permission, and promotion of unauthorized programs or real-money trading.
- Copyright in a post belongs to its writer. Posts that break the rules may be hidden or removed without prior notice.
- When we receive a report that a post infringes rights, such as privacy or reputation, we remove it in accordance with the law or, if it is hard to judge, hide it temporarily for up to 30 days.
3. Character Name Rules
- Names are 2 to 10 characters long. You can use Hangul, Latin letters (including accented letters), numbers, Cyrillic, Thai, Japanese kana and Chinese characters. Spaces and special characters are not allowed, and a name cannot consist of numbers only.
- Each name is unique across the whole server, first come, first served. Names that differ only in upper or lower case count as the same name.
- You cannot use names that could be mistaken for staff (such as "운영자", "admin" or "GM"), names containing profanity or sexual or hateful expressions, names impersonating real people or other players, or names containing personal information or advertising.
- Names cannot be changed at the moment. If a name breaks these rules, we may ask you to change it or change it to another name.
- When you delete your account, your names are released for others to use.
4. Prohibited Content and Behavior
- Profanity, insults, hateful or discriminatory expressions (about nationality, race, gender, religion, disability, region, etc.), sexual remarks, threats, harassment or bullying
- Repeating the same message (spamming), advertising or promotion, or luring players to other sites
- Impersonating us, our staff, other players or celebrities
- Revealing other people's personal information (real name, phone number, address, school, social media, account details, etc.). For your own safety, please do not post your own personal information either; we may mask it.
- Real-money trading of accounts, items, jade or other game data and advertising it, boosting (playing someone else's account for payment), sharing or selling accounts
- Unauthorized programs, macros or game modification, exploiting bugs or spreading how to do so
- Illegal content, such as obscene material, sexual content involving children or teenagers, or content encouraging crime or self-harm
- Fraud, or tricking people into revealing their passwords (phishing)
5. Reporting and Blocking
- Report (in game): in the chat window, tap the player's message, choose "Report" (신고) and pick a reason (profanity or insults, harassment, impersonation, spam or advertising, other). If "Also block" (차단도 하기) is on, the player is blocked at the same time.
- Block: choose "Block" (차단) in the same menu. That player's World, General and Party messages no longer appear in your chat window, and you no longer receive their whispers or party invitations.
- Other reports: report board posts and other problems by email (thirtyshots2689@outlook.com). Evidence such as screenshots helps us act faster.
- False reports, or using reports to harass someone, are also subject to sanctions.
- Report records (reporting and reported players, reason, the reported message) are kept for 1 year from the action taken.
6. Automatic Chat Ban
If three different players report you within one day, you automatically cannot send chat messages (World, General and Party chat, and whispers) for 60 minutes. Because this measure is based only on the number of reporting players, you can appeal under Section 8 if you think it is unfair. We may also review the reports and apply further sanctions.
7. Sanction Stages
| Stage | What happens | Period (guideline) |
|---|---|---|
| Warning | You are told about the violation and it is recorded | - |
| Chat ban | You cannot send chat messages | 1 hour to 30 days |
| Temporary suspension | You cannot log in | 1 day to 30 days |
| Permanent ban | Your account is permanently blocked (termination of the agreement) | Permanent |
- We decide by considering the severity, frequency and intent of the violation; repeated violations move to the next stage.
- We may permanently ban an account immediately for unauthorized programs, attacks on the servers or game modification, real-money trading, account theft, intentionally leaking another person's personal information, sexual content involving children or teenagers, or real threats of crime.
- For bug exploitation, the first offense normally leads to a temporary suspension and the gains are reclaimed; repeated offenses may lead to a permanent ban.
- Items and jade obtained through violations may be reclaimed or deleted.
- When we impose a sanction, we tell you the reason, type and period and how to appeal, by in-game notice or email.
8. Appeals
- Appeal by email (thirtyshots2689@outlook.com) within 14 days of receiving the sanction notice.
- Include: your registered email, character name, the date and details of the sanction, and why you disagree (with any evidence).
- We reply within 15 days of receiving your appeal; if it takes longer, we tell you why and when to expect a reply. If your appeal is justified, we lift the sanction and correct the record.
9. Changes to This Policy
If we change this Policy, we announce it in the game and on the official homepage 7 days before the change takes effect (30 days if the change is unfavorable to players).
